Cow is a member of the Bovidae family and is a part of the subfamily Bovinae. One of the most common animals in the world, found in almost all the countries, a cow is responsible for supplying around 90 percent of the dairy needs of the world population. Apart from being useful in terms of milk and meat, cow is also considered as a sacred animal, in a number of countries and religions across the globe, like Hindu religion of India.
